Shaler Area Education Foundation will host its fifth annual fundraising event to benefit students and academic programs of Shaler Area School District.
On March 21, from 6 to 9:30 p.m., Taste of Shaler Area will be held at Elfinwild Volunteer Fire Hall.
Taste of Shaler Area attendees will get to sample food from local restaurants committed to the Etna, Millvale, Shaler and Reserve communities.
Presale tickets are available online at tasteofshaler.ticketleap.com/taste-of-shaler-area. Tickets are $40 per person.

Civil War round table slated to meet Feb. 17
The Greater Pittsburgh Civil War Round Table meeting will be at 7 p.m. Feb. 17 at Hampton Township Community Center, 1301 McCully Road, Allison Park.
Richard Condon will present “Battle at Franklin, Tennessee.” The event is free and open to the public.
